Creative Workshop

Year 8 pupils enjoyed a creative workshop led by the volunteers of the Cottage Museum in Woodhall Spa.

The class learnt how to create their own cyanotype prints – an early photography printing technique, first introduced in 1842, that involves laying objects on paper coated with a special solution before exposing it to UV light.

Pupils were shown how to create a pattern using natural and man-made objects before exposing their work to sunlight with stunning results. Thank you to the Cottage Museum for delivering this workshop. Everyone was amazed by the finished pieces of artwork and Mrs Foote is very keen to include the technique in future art lessons.
