Match Report

Result: Plate Winners

The U11A team headed to Oundle and, after a thorough warm-up, we were prepared for our first match of the day. We faced a tough opponent in King's College and, unfortunately, Harriet took a hit to the elbow. By half-time, we were down 2-0, but thanks to our determination and teamwork, we managed to keep a clean sheet in the second half.

Next, we played against Stephen Purse, where Harriet, fully recovered, came back on and scored her first goal, ending the match 1-0 in our favour. Our third pool game was against Stamford, where Faith's solid defence helped us maintain a 0-0 draw.

In our final pool match against Wellingborough, we suffered a close 2-1 loss. The girls then enjoyed a well-deserved lunch break to recharge.

After lunch, we advanced to the quarter-finals, where we faced Laxton in what turned out to be the best game of the day. The girls fought hard for every ball, played as a unit, and Harriet scored, securing our spot in the final.

In the final against Stephen Purse, a team we had faced earlier, we maintained the same positive attitude. Penelope and April scored the goals, leading us to victory. Tallulah was exceptional as our goalkeeper throughout the tournament, making incredible saves and earning the Player's Player award from Mrs Warwick-Smith.
