Match Report

On the road again, the U11 boys were superb in each game. Although we aren’t to keep score, we do, and although there weren’t supposed to be winners, they did! Across the board, the games were fast and skilful, helped by good weather and even better spirit. In one afternoon, they play touch, U9 laws, U10 laws and one game with U11 laws so they challenged every facet of their skillset and did really well. Excellent performances from Seb, Alastair and Captain Rory were supported by athletic running from Edward, courageous tackling from Callan, sidesteps from Miles, trundles from Henry who drove hard with the ball and all round physicality from Joshua who did everything going forward. It felt as though they were putting in the best set of team performances this season and I was really pleased with how they did over all. We speculated as to why we didn’t play the last game - the conclusion was that the strength of the St Hugh’s performance put them off! Well done to all involved and here’s to next week.
